Youth Programs

Kiwanis plays a special role in developing future generations of leaders. Builders Clubs in middle schools and junior highs along with Key Clubs in high schools are Kiwanis organizations that teach community service and leadership skills to young people.

What’s Happening Now!

DCON

Ten Key Clubbers spent the beginning of their Spring Break in Portland, OR attending the 68th Annual Key Club District Convention (DCON).
dcon3.png They joined up with 2,000 students from around the Pacific NW and Alaska to show their Key Club Spirit, learn leadership skills, and make new friends.  Friday evening began with a great presenter who encouraged students to get involved and to encourage others along the way. dcon2.png Saturday began with an in-depth presentation on internet safety.  Then the students were off to take workshops to help them learn the duties of their upcoming board positions, learn new ways in which to serve others, and ways to better impact their school and community.  dcon1.pngThey closed Saturday night with dancing at the Governor’s Ball.  DCON is a wonderful opportunity for our students to increase their leadership skills and get even more fired up about service.

Annual Awards Banquet

On April 27, 2017, the Key Club was joined by the Kiwanis Club of Bremerton and the Club Satellite for a wonderful potluck meal at Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church. This fun annual event featured lots of food, fun and fellowship and was topped by the presentation of awards for Key Club members (and advisors!)   Check out the pics.
